Note - shameless friend plug: In addition to being one of my dearest friends, Deb is also one of the most talented women I know and often helps me out with design and marketing for my business. Not only that but she is also an amazingly talented facepainter. She has her own website so if you are looking for a designer, or a facepainter for a kid's party, check her out:www.debbiewood.com.au. You might remember seeing some cute shots of her son that I took for her pacepainting business on my blog earlier this year here.

Milk crates & balloons!
I had so much fun doing this shoot! I wanted to take some images using a location near my new home in East St Kilda, and my friend Deb needed some family shots so off we went! Her two cute-as-pie nieces joined us with their mum and dad and together we all had a ball. It took us a while to get going because Deb's gorgeous boy decided he wanted to do the entire shoot upside down, but once we got him righted up things really got moving! In fact once the kids got hold of the balloons it was kinda hard to make them stop ... :)

New home for Fi Mims Photography!
Wow, what a month it's been! I have been busy moving house so the weeks have gotten away from me and I haven't posted for a while. After five fun years living amongst the trees in leafy North Warrandyte, my family has picked up and moved house to East St Kilda. Whilst I miss the trees, I am loving being back in the inner suburbs, surrounded by great parks, cafes (my caffeine intake has gone up dramatically in the last month!) and people! However I am most excited by the fantastic photography locations I now have at my fingertips such as the beach, parks, and some very cool alleys. There are endless awesome spots which I am dying to get my camera down to! I have a few portraits coming up in the next few weeks where I plan to use some so stay tuned ...
For now, some images from a few of the shoots that have been keeping me busy over the past month. Enjoy!
Almost there ...
This gorgeous lady was in her 38th week for this shoot so we were crossing our fingers she wouldn't go early! She didn't, and we managed to get some stunning images. I love this first one in particular ...

Little Miss S
It's always such a special thing to be asked to photograph a newborn in its first week of life. You can't help but marvel over the tiny hands and feet, perfect little face, silky skin ... so many millions are born each day but we still are so amazed that we can create them! Here are some images from a particularly beautiful newborn who came into the world in June. Welcome, Miss S - I hope you have a wonderful life!
So many cute kids!
In the past month I've done two portrait shoots for family's that I have previously photographed which I absolutely LOVE! It's so wonderful to be invited back again, and so lovely to be able to see how the kids have grown since I last saw them. Here are two beautiful families who have had new additions in the past twelve months. How that first year flies...!
