Liz & Aaron post wedding session!
How exciting! Liz and Aaron were married on Saturday but didn't have much time for photos and wanted to do something different so we decided to do another bridal session a couple of days after their wedding. Believe it or not they dragged themselves out of bed at 6.30am yesterday morning for this shoot!! Hats off to both of them for getting out of bed this early two days after their wedding AND being able to still look amazing! We had so much fun. We managed to get 5 minutes of beautiful sunrise before the clouds took over and the wind played havoc with us the whole time but these guys were brilliant through the whole thing, and as you can see we got some spectacular shots! Thanks guys for being so amazing (and for the wedding cake, it was divine!). Thanks so much also to Robin and Richard from Aumann's Orchard in Warrandyte for letting us use their property for this shoot - not only do they have spectacular scenery but they also sell the best fruit and veg for miles around Warrandyte! Every spring when the blossoms come out on their trees I dream about doing a shoot there so it was fantastic to be able to make it happen!
Stay tuned as I also haved heaps of great shots from Liz and Aaron's wedding at another amazing venue, Labassa, to post in the next few weeks, along with a heap of other weddings and portraits I am way behind on blogging - wedding season has arrived again so it's busy, busy, busy!

Daisy
I was lucky enough to photograph Daisy's older brother and sister - Molly & Louis - a year ago when Molly was a newborn, and this year it was Daisy's turn! I just adore this first shot of her sleeping amongst the sheets, and as you'll see we finished up with a few studio-style shots as they wanted something with this feel for the wall.

And of course I couldn't leave without getting a shot of Molly & Louis ...

Jacqui & Steven
I was back at one of my favourite venues for another wedding last month - Inglewood. Jacqui & Steven were extremely lucky with the weather and had a gorgeous day with family and friends, and their new baby girl Lily.
Jacqui was still getting ready when I arrived so I started off by snapping some detail shots around the house. Jacqui has a thing for frogs and I just thought these were so cute, and so fitting for the occasion, I had to get a picture of them ...

Family photos!
What I love most about the photos from this shoot is that the parents are in so many of them. I do a lot of portrait sessions where the mums and dads don't want to be in the photos as they don't think they will look good (mums mostly - sorry girls!) . When you feel this way, keep in mind that when your kids grow up, those photos are going to be their memories from their childhood. How sad would it be if they didn't have any photos of you in them! In my parent's house growing up there was always a draw full of old photos from different times, many including our parents, and I treasure those photos so much!!! Not to mention it's always a great laugh looking through them at how much we've all changed - thank goodness!
As someone told me recently (and I can't remember who sorry but it's a great quote so thanks!) if you don't like yourself in photos now, don't worry, in 10 years' time you will think you look great!
